The
QuadraBloc™ is a device made of four
magnetic bodies, which alternate polarity on the face of the device.
QuadraBloc™ Magnetic Flux Generator
Technically, it is a quadrapolar, static, symmetric,
alternating pole magnetic flux generator. The design creates very intense
field gradients (strong magnetic fields), which are essential for the
effectiveness of QuadraBloc™.

QuadraBloc™ was
perfected in a university medical center. The mechanism has been proven
to be in part related to stabilization, or repair of damaged cell membranes.
The magnetic flux field stabilizes, or blocks sodium and calcium ion channels,
as well as, stops cells from leaking fluid. This is important for stopping
abnormal painful impulses. This has been demonstrated in studies in the
laboratory, animals and humans. By blocking the generation and/or conduction
of abnormal pain fiber impulses, through controlling these ion channels,
QuadraBloc™ turns off the pain signal to the brain. When the pain
signal is turned off, the pain goes away.

A 2x2 randomized double-blind cross-over study
was done to assess the efficacy of the MagnaBloc™ in reducing low back
and knee pain in 54 patients at two centers. The MagnaBloc™ is a magnetic
treatment device which contains a quadripolar permanent magnet system.
Pain was assessed using visual analog scale, ranging from zero (no pain)
to 100 (maximal pain). Prior to any treatment the average pain rating
was 52.9.
